"___, what's wrong?" Tashigi asks, leaning over you.
"I'm just... Gonna take the day off okay?" You murmur, not even moving. She frowns in slight concern and touches your shoulder, you crack an eye open and give her a reassuring small smile. "I'm okay, just... Don't worry about it," You tell her. She straightens and starts for the door.
"Alright, I'll uh, see you later," She says before going out. You close your eye again, letting everything go black. It was the anniversary of that day, you didn't want to move. Just wanted to let yourself drown in the guilt of what happened that day, one year ago. You hear the door open and close, before a weight shifts your bed. A warm hand touches your shoulder.
"I told you I'm okay," You murmur.
"If you were, you would've messed up the deck by now," A gruff voice replies, making your eyes snap open. You sit up a bit too fast.
"B-Boss! What- what's up?" You ask, holding your head slightly.
"Your chores still aren't done," He tells you. Your shoulders droop at that.
"Oh, I'll go do them now," You whisper, starting to get up.
"I was kidding," He tells you. You stop and blink at him. A slight giggle leaves you, a small smile coming to your lips.
"You really need to work on that," You chuckle. He huffs a laugh and rubs the back of his head.
"You think so?" He mutters.
"Kinda..." You murmur.
"I still got you to smile though," He points out. You blush slightly.
"Yeah... Did you want something?" You ask. He shifts.
"Steel said it was the anniversary of you losing your crew... Are you okay?" He murmurs.
"Kinda..." You mutter, looking down at your hands, for a moment they seem to flicker with blood. He puts a hand over yours, making you blink at his large hand. He wasn't wearing his gloves, so you could feel their roughness. "Can I..." You trail off, deciding to take his hand in yours anyway. He watches as you turn his hand about, fingertips tracing every indent and curve lightly. Your shoulders droop with relaxation as you do this, a small smile reappearing on your lips. His hand lifts from yours, breaking you out of your trance. Blinking, you glancing at him with a slight blush before looking away. "Oh sor-" His hand rests on your head, silencing you.
"It's fine, are you feeling better?" He asks. You shift, not wanting to answer yes in case he left, but you also didn't want to lie since you really did feel better with him close to you. His hand slides from the top of your head to your shoulder before pulling you to his chest for a hug. "I'll stay here, don't worry," He assures you. You blink in shock before completely giving into his warmth and hugging him back as your face buries into his chest.
"Thank you," You breath. His scent was intoxicating, you weren't sure how long you'd be able to stay like this without doing something weird. His steady breathing and heart beat, you could feel it in that embrace.
"Anytime Trouble Maker," He murmurs. You smile at your nickname, closing your eyes. You felt perfectly fine in that moment. After a while you pull back.
"Think I'll do my chores now," You comment.
"You can't," He tells you.
"Why not?" You ask.
"I already did them," He informs you. You tilt your head, raising an eyebrow.
"You did?" You huff.
"Yeah, take the day off... Do whatever you want, but it's just for today," He says, starting to get up. You touch his arm to make him pause before bravely kissing his cheek. Smoker seemed to turn to stone at that, eyes widened in surprise.
"Th-that was... Thank you," You stammer, looking away with a heavy blush.
"Right... You're welcome," He manages, getting to his feet. "Try to get some rest and relax," He tells you before going out. As soon as the door closes you facepalm.
"Damn it.... Why did I do that?" You sigh.
You walk across the deck, letting the night air cool your skin. Stopping at the figurehead, you look over the horizon. Smoker really did help you feel better earlier but once he left, you started thinking again. A frown comes to your lips, and a shaky breath leaves you. How much longer until a window of opportunity showed itself? Maybe then you'd be able to get some of this guilt off you. Something warm drapes over your shoulders, making you jump slightly. You look over to see Smoker as he steps to your side.
"Can't sleep?" You guess. He offers a slight shrug, looking at the horizon.
"Well you tell me about what happened to your crew?" He asks you. You shift, looking at him briefly.
"Okay..."
*Flashback*
"I have a bad feeling about this," You admit to Max and Steel. You were looking at the expensive looking cargo ship.
"That's probably because this is the first time we'll be taking on a ship of this caliber," Max reminds you.
"Yeah alright, you're probably right," You reply, straightening up.
"Fufufu, what do you think you're doing rookies?" A voice makes your blood run cold as your crew was transferring the crates to your ship. You look up at the Warlord.
"Shit, abandon the crates!" You gasp, sensing you had stepped into something bad. Your crew immediately drops the crates, beginning to back up warily.
"No no, I can't let you go that easily!" Doflamingo rumbles. Your body suddenly begins to move on its own, unsheathing the sword on your hip.
"Captain! Dont!" Malcolm gasps, assuming you were going to attack the Warlord. Your sword slashes to the side, taking off his arm and shocking everyone. Malcolm jumps back holding the stump. "C-Captain!?"
"Fufufu! What's wrong? Why are you attacking your own crew?!" Doflamingo sneers. Your sword plunges into Malcolm's heart.
"Captain!" Max says in horror.
"Run! I can't stop myself!" You order as your body lunges at another crewmate. Blood splatters everywhere as your body dispatches more of your own crew. Horrified by your own brutality, tears were leaving your eyes. Max charges Doflamingo in an attempt to end this horrible scene. Your body suddenly lunges at his back, blade piercing his chest.
"GAH!" He spits, blood bursting from his lips.
"MAX!" You cry in horror.
"Marines are coming!" Someone shouts to Doflamingo. You felt your body return to your control and pull out your blade as he falls back into your arms.
"Max! Max! I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry!" You whisper shakily holding your hand over his wound that ran through his heart, soaking your hands with blood. What was left of your crew calls out to you, but your grief and guilt made you sit there, sobbing until the marines showed up.
#Flashback End#
"He made me kill almost everyone... Their blood will always be on me," You murmur, tears flowing from your eyes as you looked at your palms. "I am so weak," You choke out, hands coming up to cover your face in shame. He pulls you into his chest, holding you close.
"You're the strongest woman I've ever met... Don't blame yourself, that wasn't you," He murmurs. You hug him back, letting yourself cry in his arms. After some time you relax, eyes too tired from crying to open.
"I'm sorry," You murmur.
"Stop apologizing, you've done nothing wrong," He tells you, carefully picking you up. You rest your head on his shoulder, almost instantly falling asleep. He blinks down at you before carrying you toward your room. He stops at the door and changes his mind, taking you to his room instead. He sets you down on his bed and covers you up. His fingertips brush your cheek as he leans down to press a kiss to your cheek. "Sleep well, ___," He murmurs.

Killer x Reader - Captain's Orders
Clenching your jaw, you tried to remember what had happened just a month ago. You had joined the Kid pirates, one of the most vicious crews in the world. Why? Well, being Eustass Kid's sister had it's benefits. The two of you fought over the stupidest things, like driving the ship for an hour, or spending money at the right stores.
The only one who could break up you're fights was Killer, the massacre solider. To you, he was this slightly bulky guy with a positive attitude. He would always ask to be excused when you we're eating, and Kid would always reply with a gruff, "yes."
But if you dared to excuse yourself from the table, your hot-hea

It was a normal day for the Kid Pirates, with the usual arguments.
“I didn’t do it!” you shout, punching the person carrying you in the head for the tenth time. Your (s/c) fist collides with his head hard, knocking his goggles partially off. He stops, goggles slumping down in the front blocking his eyes. A deadly aura starts to radiate off him.

Tactless
"Damn he's fine!" A young (Hair Color) haired woman muttered as she glanced at a silver haired man at the other end of the isle.
"And he's a cop too! Go on, say it!" The lady's friend whispered back. (Friend's Name) had decided to drag (Name) to the store and as she had nothing to do, (Name) had taken to scoping out all the eligible men.
"Say what?" (Name) asked.
"Y'know, 'oh, I just love a man in uniform!'" (Name) shook her head before pulling a jar of cherries off the shelf.
"Nah, not this time. I will say though, if he's gay or taken like all the others, I may just give up and become a nun or something." She said, watching hi
