School of Madness pt16~ Allies??

            Kid helps you stagger out of the bathroom and Luffy freezes, Zoro, Ace, and Sabo do the same, eyes going wide as they look at the injuries on you and Kid.

            "WHO DID THIS?!" Luffy roars, making you and Kid stiffen in surprise as a pulse leaves him.

            "Luffy-ya calm down and let her tell you," Law says calmly, weaving pass toward you with a bag of ice. "Kid-ya, please help her to the chair," He requests. Kid helps you to the chair and assists you in sitting down.

           "Thanks," You mutter. He just huffs in response before going over and rolling onto your bed. You scowl at his back before turning to the others. "I just went to check on Killer...." You begin to tell them what happened.

            Silence was all that responded after you told them what happened, except the part about Law, which made Kid look toward you in question. You ignored the look. "And then Corazon carried me up here... I wanted to check on Law and Kid," You finish. Luffy was pissed, hell, it was clear they all were.

            "Damn cowards, gaining up on a woman," Sabo growls.

            "I say we go kick all of their asses right now," Ace says, folding his arms. Zoro, Luffy, and Law nod in agreement.

            "No. They want to fight, if you go find them now you'll just be giving them what they want... And besides, you don't know where they're at," You tell them, getting up and shuffling to your closet. "We need to play it safe... I don't want anyone else in the infirmary like Killer," You add, opening the door and grabbing your bat. You shuffle back to your chair. "So for now, please don't go off alone," You murmur.

             "Alright, but we're not leaving this room tonight," Sabo tells you. You blink in surprise as the others nod in agreement. You almost smiled, felt like you were with the gang again, everyone looking out for eachother.  

              "What ever helps you sleep," You tell them, going and sitting on your bed where Kid was laying down. He glances at you.

               "Yosh! Sleep over! Come on Zoro! Lets go get some mattresses!" Luffy chimes, heading out with Zoro close behind.

                "I have extra blankets and pillows in the closet, I'll- "

                "Lay your ass down," Kid growls before you get up. You look back in surprise at him. "They can get them, you can't even lift your arms over your head, idiot," He says pointedly. You frown at the fact he was right.

                "Only to shut you up masochist," You huff laying down.

                "Don't lay down here, there's no room," He says,  moving away from you the best he could.

                "Shut up I'm laying down, and its not my fault your uncomfortably muscular body takes up so much damn space," You shoot back.

                "It's not uncomfortable you damn twig," He snaps.

                "Sure it's not masochist," You snort.

                "You're the damn masochist!" He snarls, turning over so his back faced you.

                "Am not! Just go to sleep idiot," You grumble.

                "Go to hell," He grunts.

                "Don't make me throw you out the window," You warn.

                "Go ahead, but put on a shirt first," He snickers.

                "Fuck you," You snarl.

                "If that's what you want to do," He huffs with shrug. Your face turns red and you put a hand over it.

                 "I hate you."

                 "I hate you too," He yawns, earning a yawn from you.

                 "Damn masochist," You murmur slowly starting to drift to sleep.

                 "You're a masochist..." He mutters and you both fall asleep. The three other guys in the room look at you two, not sure whether to be angry at Kid or jealous of him.

                 "Did they just insult eachother to sleep?" Ace asks with a head tilt.

                 "What an odd relationship..." Sabo agrees.

                 "I don't care as long as he doesn't hurt her," Law says, laying back on his bed and frowning at the ceiling.

                 "Tomorrow is gonna be messy," Sabo comments. Luffy and Zoro return with Usopp and Sanji, as well as mattresses for everyone. They all pause when they see you asleep next to Kid. "...Don't ask," Sabo tells them.

           There's a crash and the building shakes, you lurch up and Kid rolls off the bed and flips it on it's side, making you fall on him. You both groan in pain. "Ow... What the fuck Kid?" You grumble, rolling off him.

           "Shut up, it's an instinct," He groans, rolling onto his side, back facing you.

           "That's a hell of an instinct," You grunt, rolling to your side so your back faced him too. Laughter makes you both look over at Law.

           "That... Is karma," He chuckles, smiling at you. You blush a bit while Kidd looks confused.

           "Sh-shut up," You huff looking away. He just laughs more while Luffy peers over the bedside at you.

           "Are you okay ___?" He asks cutely. You blink and smile up at him.

           "Yeah, I'm good," You respond, starting to get up, a small pained sound escapes you as your side screams at you.

            "What the hell are you doing? Lay back down idiot," Kid growls, setting the bed back to normal.

            "But-"

            "Shut the hell up, you're not going anywhere," He interrupts, picking you up rather carefully and placing you back on the bed.

            "Like hell I'm not, you can't order me around," You snort, folding your arms though it hurt like hell and looking away. His upper lip curls and he pinches your nose.

            "But I can make you sweet heart, remember that," He snarls. You pale slightly and glare back weakly. He gives a slight nod of approval at your silent submission, and straightens up, going to your closet. He opens it and takes out one of your oversized coats.

            "What are you doing?" You ask, starting to sit up again.

            "I'm borrowing one of these," He replies.

            "Rude," Sabo mutters.

            "Wha- You cant! Your damn muscular chest will pop the buttons!" You object. He smirks.

            "Thought you said I was flat chested," He comments, starting for the door, stepping over the mattresses that covered your floor.

            "But... That... Grrr! Where are you going!?" You ask in annoyance. He stops and opens the door, looking back at you.

            "I'm going to see Killer," He replies. You pause.

            "Hold on, I'm coming too," You decide, slipping on your running shoes and grabbing your bat.

            "No," He huffs.

            "Too bad, I'm coming anyway," You snort getting up. "I said I didn't want anyone going off alone, and that includes you too," You tell him. Kid opens his mouth but he's too surprised to think of an objection.

            "Do what you want Slippers," He huffs looking away. You smirk and follow him out. The guys left behind look at the door.

            "Can someone please explain what the hell happened?" Usopp says, pointing at the door.

            "I'm not sure... I think they're still enemies..." Sabo says.

            "They've become allies for now, since they now have a common enemy," Law comments.  Youre soon led back in by Kid who opens your dresser and retrieves a button up shirt. He throws it at your face and you stagger.

            "Get a damn shirt on you idiot!" He snaps.

            "Yes mom," You mock. He lets out a growl but helps you get the shirt on and button it.

             "Now come on you dumbass," He growls.

             "Your the dumbass you flat chested-"

             "Don't you fucking say it!" Kid interrupts and slams the door as you both leave. There's silence for a moment.

             "I forgot she wasn't wearing a shirt," Sabo comments.

             "Me too," The others huff.

             Killer blinks in utter shock when you and Kid stroll in leaning on eachother, not because you were being friendly, but rather because youre were both in pain but didn't want to alert the nurse so. "Hey asshole, you sleep well?" Kid asks when you both reach his bedside. You give Kid a look. "What? This is how I always greet him," He huffs. You look to Killer for confirmation but he's still in shock.

            "Hey, you okay?" You ask worriedly.

            "I'm okay... Are YOU two okay?" He inquires.

            "Not really, your boss gave me a hell of a wake up call," You answer.

            "Shut up," Kid huffs. Killer just blinks at both of you before his eyes suddenly lock on your neck, widening a bit.

             "What the hell happened to your neck!?" He gasps. You tense and Kid looks at the bruised hand print. He had totally missed that mark.

             "I er, got into a little fight earlier," You say dismissively. Kid jabs a bruise in your side and you wince. "Ow!"

            "Don't lie to him!" He snaps.

            "Don't tell me what to do!" You retort.

            "Then I'll sign what you should do!" He growls, flipping you off. You glare at his finger and bite it. "Ow! Fuck! Let go you damn cannibal!" He hisses, trying to save his finger. A chuckle from Killer makes you both stop and look over.

            "You two are gold!" He laughs then winces and quiets down. "But seriously, what happened?" He asks. You let go of Kid's finger and glare at him briefly.

             "The disciplinary committee jumped me last night when I left here," You admit. He gets real silent, but you felt like you could hear him blaming himself. "Hey now, don't you go blaming yourself, it was my fault for being careless and letting them sneak up on me," You add, trying to be cheerful.

              "You always try to take the blame..." He murmurs, green orbs looking up at you sharply. "Knock it off," He rumbles.

              "He seems to be doing well," You comment as you both head for building C.

              "If he was doing well he would've sat up," Kid replies coldly. You frown, and touch his arm, making him look at you.

              "He's gonna be okay, you're not in any better shape," You point out.

              "Neither are you-" He breaks off, suddenly looking behind you. You catch a flash of black behind him and freeze in alarm.

              "Kid-" You're hooded and knocked out.
