Misjudged (AU) Zoro x Reader pt2

          "I hate running," You pant.

          "Come on ___, it isn't so bad!" Tashigi breathes.

          "What's the point of this exercise again?" Law wheezes, drawing both your gazes.

          "Finally caught up Trafalgar?" Tashigi comments. He throws her a look.

          "Well unlike us, you actually need this exercise," You tell him between breathes. He looks at you dubiously.

          "What ever for?" He inquires. You smile at like a Cheshire cat.

          "Why, to run from me for whenever I decide to just take you," You chuckle. He pales and somehow blushes at the same time. Tashigi stops running as she bursts out laughing. You stop too, holding your stomach as you have a giggle fit. Law has to stop as well, putting a hand over his face, ears glowing red.

           "Oh god ___! The things you say!" Tashigi wheezes.

           "How are we even friends?" Law manages. You laugh and stagger to his side.

           "B-because! We're just meant to be!" You laugh, putting a hand on his shoulder. He shakes his head, blushing heavily.

           "Must you do this?" He sighs.

           "Yes, I enjoy telling you that I care about you," You chuckle. He looks at you with a slight pout and some runners go past, knocking Tashigi down. You look over and feel a spike of anger. "Hey! Watch where you going! You pack of buffalo!" You snap. Law and Tashigi stiffen slightly. You put your hands on your hips as Dellinger, Kid, and Killer stop and turn to you.

           "What did you just call us?" Kid questions. Tashigi moves to your side, you glance down at her bleeding knee, becoming even more angry.

           "I called you a pack of buffalo! Look what you did to her knee!" You growl.

           "It's not our fault she were in the way," Kid retorts.

           "You're right, I shouldn't have expected a dumb red gorilla to be a gentleman," You comment.

           "You wanna fight!? Just because you're a girl doesn't mean I won't kick your ass!" Kid snarls, stepping toward you. You and Law step forward. Kid smirks, seeing Law. "Oh ho! What do you plan to do? You don't have your textbook," Kid sneers. Law smirks unphased.

           "Go ahead and touch her, I'll show you," He rumbles. Kid's smirk falls for a moment.

           "Hey, you're behind three laps, hurry up Kid," A familiar voice says behind you. Kid blinks at the newcomer and Tashigi and Law look back in surprise.

           "Right... We'll settle this one way or another, ___," Kid growls before turning around and starting to run with the other two.

           "You sure are brave," Zoro comments when you look back at him.

           "He pissed me off," You answer with a shrug. He nods, looking at you for a moment.

           "Get your friend to the clinic," He tells you and Law. You both nod you go over to help Tashigi.

            "Geez ___, you worry me when you do that," She says as you and Law start for the coach.

            "You know how she is, bull headed," Law muses. You shoot him a look.

            "I would've been fine, Law was about to turn into a beast in my defence,"  You assure, pushing Law lightly. He blushes a bit with a smirk. Tashigi chuckles.

            "I saw that, I think he's starting to come around," She comments.

            "I'm right here you know," He huffs.

            "Oh, hi Law," You and Tashigi chime.

            "How are we friends?"

           *After School*

          '___? It's Zoro, I found my cell, text me back if this is the right number...'

          For some reason you giggled reading it.

         'Hi Zoro, you got the right number.'

         'I have a few days free, when do you want to start the project?'

         'I'm free tonight if that's okay, I need to go buy what we're gonna need,'

         'That's fine, what store do you want to meet at?'

         'Hmm.... That one crafts store near the school?'

         'Alright, when?'

         '6 sound good?'

         'Yeah, see you then,'

         'Kay,'

         You put your phone in your pocket and get your money, glancing at the clock. You had two hours to spare. Your door opens and closes and your brother gives you a look. You frown, they were starting early today. "Wanna go to the park? Im meeting my project partner later," You tell him, opening your window. He nods and locks your door.

          "I think it's getting worse..." He murmurs as you hop out the window and help him out.

          "Yeah..." You agree as you start down the street. "Just a little longer Light, I'm almost there..." You tell him. You and your brother were adopted by a lovely couple when you were young, but the lovely couple ran into hard times and resorted to drugs and booze to deal with their problems, and eventually they became... Well... Horrible people that fought constantly, resulting in the cops visiting often.

          "I know... How was school? I heard you laugh earlier," He says, changing the subject. You put a hand on his head, he always did that, he hated it when you were stressed, so he always tried to brighten things. Such a good kid.

          "Well, it went well, my project partner seems cool, I think you'll get along with him," You tell him thoughtfully.

          "Did you pick on Law today?" He asks. He loved to hear about you picking on the guy.

          "Of course, today I got Usopp and Chopper to sing that Ne-Yo song to him," You muse. He chuckles cutely at that.

          "He's funny," He comments. You giggle at that.

          "Very, how was school for you?" You add.

          "It was fun, Chimney brought her bunny again, and he pooped on Ms. Kalifa's desk!" He chuckles. You laugh at that.

          "Poor Ms. Kalifa," You comment. You reach the park, and Light spots Chimney and runs to play with her. Yout stand watch, smiling a bit.

          "___!" A familiar voice calls. Before you can turn a weight hits your back and you stumble forward, somehow staying on your feet. "Shishishi! Told you she wouldn't fall!" He laughs, still on your back.  

         "Geez Luffy! How can someone who eats so much weigh so little!?" You huff. He gets off your back and you turn to meet his grin.

          "I wonder the same thing," Sabo comments, walking up.

          "Eh, he has always been small," Ace teases with a smirk.

          "Am not!" Luffy argues. You and Sabo chuckle.

          "So what are you three up to? Causing trouble?" You muse.

          "Just walking around... You and Light okay?" Sabo asks. You glance back to check on your brother.

         "Light!" Luffy calls, rushing off to go play with the twelve year old. You chuckle, smiling a bit.

         "We're good, they started early today so they should be out by the time we get back to from getting what I need for the project." You reply with a slight smile. Sabo frowns a bit, seeming to think things were getting worse too.

           "That's right, you're partnered up with Zoro right?" Ace asks, changing the subject.

           "Yeah, I'm going to meet him at the store after this," You tell him. He smirks with a nod.

           "Seems like he's really into it... That's interesting," He comments. Sabo raises an eyebrow at his brother's tone and Ace gives him a look.

          "Really? That is interesting," Sabo mutters.

          "What?" You ask, feeling like they were tossing dialogue over your head.  

          "Nothing," They say together. You raise your eyebrows and pinch their cheeks.

          "Curse your sibling telepathy!" You growl. They chuckle. 

          "So, when you meeting Zoro?" Ace asks. You check your phone.

          "Shit! I'm gonna be late!" You gasp.

          "You go, Light can come hangout with us until you're finished," Sabo tells you.

          "Really!? Thanks guys!" You chime, hugging their necks. "Don't give him too much sugar this time!" You add.

           "We wont/will!" They chime.

           "Dammit Ace! I mean it!"
