His New Obsession Night 3~ Corazon x Reader

     Darkness. The echo of someone running pounds in your ears. You knew those frantic footsteps belonged to you. Fear clutching your chest, panting as you ran as fast as you could. A shiver cutting your back. 

     'He never came back... I waited...' A woman's voice murmurs. You grit your teeth, tears escaping your eyes. 

     'Stop running... You can't escape it.' A child's voice whispers. You stop and everything goes silent until a maniacal laugh starts to sound. You almost start running again, but the child's voice repeats itself and you force yourself to turn around to face the glowing red eyes. High pitched screams sound all around you. 

      You sit up panting heavily and shaking, fumbling to turn on the light and look around your room panicked, slowly relaxing. You sit back against the headboard closing your eyes and letting out a sigh. 

      "Damn nightmares..." You murmur rubbing your temple. You check the clock and groan getting out of bed. You've only been asleep three hours. You rub your neck, glancing at the calendar and sigh. Two more days until you went to visit... You frown mind wandering to AceBear Pizzeria. "Such a troublesome week..."

     You shift going over the old newspapers. You came early to go through them without trouble. By now you were sitting on the floor surrounded by the old newspapers. Missing children. Missing security guards. Animatronics acting odd. 

       "No names.... Such a big deal but no names..." You mutter.

       "There were missing flyers... but the management threw them away." An animatronic voice makes you jump and look back to see Springy.

        "Glad to see you're back to normal..." You murmur looking down at the papers again. You hear him shift.

        "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to.... I shouldn't have grabbed you like that...." He says. You look over at him. 

        "No it was my fault... I'm just jumpy... You animatronics don't really have a good reputation..." You reply glancing pointedly at the newspapers.

        "It wasn't their fault though..." He murmurs coming over and crouching knees creaking. You raise an eyebrow.

        "You think someone was tampering with them?" You ask. He meets your gaze.

        "Something like that." He murmurs.

        "Who are you?" You ask him. He pauses and falls back on his bum. 

         "Rocinante. But everyone calls me Corazon... Or... did call me Corazon..."  He says looking down. You blink tilting your head. 

       "That's an odd name for an animatronic," You murmur looking back through the papers. You feel fingers glide over your bandaged arm and pause. You look over at the animatronic's fingertips.

       "You got hurt when you pushed me last night didn't you?" He murmurs rather sadly. You blink and look at the animatronic's face. Your eyes trail down to his torso a jagged piece of metal stuck out through the plastic. You could see the red tint of your blood on it. 

        "Its just a scratch," You reply deciding to pick up the papers. He looks at you carefully. 

        "Why won't you run? You must've sensed it last night." He murmurs. You meet the animatronic's gaze. 

         "Running doesn't stop the fear." You answer standing up. 

         "Not running might get you killed." He breathes. You felt a chill go through your spine.

         "Who really knows what will happen?" You hum tipping his chin. The animatronic blinks up at you as a smile comes to your lips. "Such a cute animatronic, I can't die by you," You giggle. Corazon's eyes widen and he looks down swiftly. You chuckle and walk out with the box of newspapers to put them in the supply room.

          "___!" You hear Luffy call and blink in surprise peering out as he and Zoro brought in another animatronic, a fox-human animatronic. "His name is Foxy!" Luffy grins happily as you let them by to carry in the damaged animatronic. They sit him down and you drop to your knee the material from his knee down was gone leaving only the exoskeleton. The left side of his face was badly scarred with two gashes. 

          "He sure is in bad shape... but he's kinda cute." You comment touching the animatronic's hook hand. The animatronic's eyes shoot open at that orangish-amber orbs fixed on you. Luffy and Zoro jump in surprise.

         "How do you do that?" Luffy huffs. You look at him confused.

         "What?" You ask.

         "They only come to life When you touch them," Luffy points out. You glance at Zoro suspiciously, making him raise an eyebrow as you look back at Foxy. 

         "Sure, that's what it is." You huff straightening up and stretching. 

         "Hey... Where's Springy?" Luffy asks. 

         "He was in the office with me," You admit. 

         "Why?" Luffy asks raising an eyebrow. 

         "I'm not sure..." You murmur. 

         "Anyway Luffy let's get going." Zoro says starting down the hall. Luffy pouts but follows him out. 

         "Bye ___!" He calls before the main door closes. You let out a sigh and head to the office. 

          Foxy's eyes followed you out before flicking to Law who was watching him. "Fuck." The new addition groans. "Was sleeping so well too..." 

         "Been a while Kid-ya..." Law comments flatly.

         "What the hells going on Law?" He sighs. 

         "I believe it's starting again... That woman..." Law trails off. Kid looks to the doorway and curses. 

         "Then we need to get rid of her." He states. 

         "I tried that with Corasan's help... She's fearless... She saved this body from Doflamingo last night.... Wait... That came out wrong..." Law sighs. Kid blinks in surprise.

          "You're shitting me, that girl faced off against the psycho? And is still here? Shit..." Kid groans, mechanical limbs moving carefully. 

          "And the others are still being 'uncovered'." Law tells him.

          "Oh man she's gonna die..." Kid says with some amusement, recieving a death glare from Law. "What? Just saying. Don't tell me you're attached to her?" He sneers.

          "Nothing. For a moment you sounded like the man that cursed us to this." Law says. Kid blinks animatronic teeth grinding before he hits the wall cursing loudly. Law drops his gaze. "Is that really what has become of us?" Law murmurs. 

         You walk in with bat drawing their gazes. "I don't know what that noise was, but you better not be breaking stuff," You scold pointing the bat at them as Corazon peers over your shoulder at them. 

       "Hey Kid." Corazon hums.

       "Hey..." He responds flatly. You raise an eyebrow at the New animatronic.

       "Kid huh? Look, just don't make a mess yeah?  I'd hate to have to explain to Luffy why your arms are missing." You huff before turning to head out walking into Corazon. You blink up at him and he blinks at you. "Roci..." You start. He blinks in surprise at the name.

        "Oh right... Sorry.." He manages stepping back and somehow tripping and falling down. You giggle.

         "Such a clumsy animatronic." You comment stepping out and helping him up. 

         "Hey hey, Lady can I ask ya something?" Kid gets up shakily and awkwardly. You blink at the animatronic. "Are you crazy? Or do you have a death wish?" He questions. You hum thoughtfully.

        "Maybe I am crazy.... Or maybe I don't like to run away from my fears." You hum. "Either way. I'm in charge here, so behave." You add and walk out. Corazon follows after you smiling rather admiring. Kid blinks after you both. 

         "Wow.... I don't know if I should admire or feel bad for her bravery..." Kid mutters. 

          "Either way, she may die a very painful death if she stays..." Law murmurs.
