X Drake By Kamogami by PirateQueenD

Oh yeah, training was hard. Like tearing sixty percent of your muscles hard. The fucking agony your body was in. But there was one thing that eased the pain, your training partner. He was dashing and sweet, has a nice body too the kind that made you bite your lip everytime you checked him out when he wasn't looking. How could you not when he preferred tight fitting leathery clothes. That's enough to get your heart started again should it ever stop. He voice was nice to, smooth yet rugged, and when he said your name it made your heart beat a little faster. But mostly he calls you by a nickname that he thought suited you well and that was-
"Hey Doll, you okay down there?" He leans over you crystal blue eyes peering down at you.
"Hey Drake... I'm good." You offer a sheepish smile, blush coming to your cheeks as you sit up. He smiles a bit with a head tilt, helping you to your feet.
"You were zoned out again Doll, what were you thinking about this time?" He inquires. You pause with a deeper blush, heart picking up. He smiles again, peering down at your wrist that he held lightly. "Heart beat just picked up, you're about to lie."
"Curse your reptilian sensory..." You mutter looking away. He chuckles at that, releasing you.
"Come on Doll, it's time for lunch." He says peering at your face again. You nod following after him happily. Like you Drake was from a primitive galaxy as well, from a planet named X. He too had been abducted by an other being, but escaped and became a spacer. There wasn't much different between you and him, well, except that he can turn into a giant reptilian being.
Seemed like almost everyone had a special kind of ability. Smoker was an Elementee, Tashigi was a Sharpish, a sharp eyed alien that was a master with swords. Then there was you, the weak Earthling that was at the bottom of the class who had to lay down after every training session. You look down at yourself with a frown. Drake looks back and stops.
"Why are you making such a face Doll? Are you feeling down on yourself again?" He inquires gently tipping your chin.
"A little... I'm starting to think that Crocodile had a point... Earthlings really aren't worth anyone's time..." You murmur looking to the side. Drake frowns at that.
"Don't speak so lowly of yourself ___, you have more drive and determination than half of the beings here, they all have it too easy. I guarantee you when things get even slightly challenging for them, they'll run home to their mothers." He breathes. "And you'll be here, fighting like a true warrior."
He knew just what to say to cheer you up. You smile a bit at that and he kisses your cheek. You blush at that, meeting his gaze when he pulls back. "Thanks Drake."
"I'm being honest, also you have much better aim than most of the beings here." He adds with a chuckle.
"You're so sweet..." You giggle looking away.
"Why would I be anything less to my best friend? And possible-"
"___," Smoker calls, making you both look over. "Come on, we need to check on something." He states before starting for the lab. You shift looking to Drake nervously.
"You'll be fine, I'll see you when you return." He offers a smile before nudging you forward. You follow after Smoker, glancing around carefully as you enter the lab.
"Take a seat on the bed ___." Smoker orders. You swiftly do so.
"Is something wrong Smoker?" You with a worried frown.
"Not really, we need to remove the language chip that Doflamingo put into your head in case he's tracking you. We'll exchange it with one of our own." He informs you as the doctor comes beside you.
Language chips are what allowed you to understand other alien languages, and translates different languages for you while you unknowingly spoke in different languages in response. To you everything was English, but that wasn't at all the truth, had Doflamingo forgotten to give you a language chip, everything wouldve sounded like gibberish to you unless someone spoke to you directly. Kinda wish they had that on Earth...
You wince slightly as the doctor cuts into your temple. Smoker frowns at that. "I've also notices you're a lot more sensitive to pain than other beings."
"Seventy percent more sensitive." The doctor says simply.
"I am?..." Your eye twitches as the doctor pulls something out of your temple, eyes tearing up from the sharp pain that follows.
"Yes, which means you've been working harder than anyone else through the pain. Frankly I'm amazed by your determination, and also sorry for not realizing sooner. The doctor will give you something to strengthen your nerves and remove the over sensitivity." He tells you, coming over and grasping your hands as you grit your teeth and wince, hands tightening as the doctor puts something back into your head.
"Couldn't you have given me that first?" You ask with a slight sniffle.
".... I'm sorry, I forgot before this." He says with a frown.
       "It's okay Smoker, just hurts..."
"I will take you and Drake out for a sweet lunch." He says as your temple is sealed up and the doctor presents you with a pill that looked like it held a lightning storm inside. You look at Smoker uneasy. "It only looks deadly."
"Right..." You mutter before swiftly taking the pill. You feel electricity fill your body and twitch slightly. "That felt weird..." You mutter looking down at your hands as the glow in your veins leave.
"You should be able to do much more with your body now." The doctor tells you.
"Okay thanks..." You murmur, wondering what he meant exactly.
"Come on ___, let's go eat." Smoker speaks up.

You sat on the edge of the station with them, your feet dangling in space. You look at the close by galaxy, feeling as if this were all a dream again. "Doll, you're doing it again." Drake says, pulling you back from going over the edge. You blink back and chuckle sheepishly, rubbing your cheek.
"Sorry, it doesn't matter how many times we sit here, it still feels unreal to me." You muse touching your shoulder to his.
"I know what you mean." He smiles thoughtfully.
"I hope you two don't phase out like that when we are fighting, could be dangerous." Smoker comments.
"When do we leave anyway Smoker?" You and Drake look at him curiously. He smirks with a chuckle.
"Three more training sessions." He informs you.
I love this series already....
