Escape The Planet pt7~ Cold Nightmares

        You stretch looking at the room and smiling a bit, “Cool, two beds this time.” You comment putting your gun down and relaxing.
        “You can share with me.” Law and Kid offer at the same time, Kid’s request coming out like a rugged purr. They stop and give each other a glare. You blush at that opening your mouth to respond.
        “No. Girls stick together. Come on ___, let’s take a bath.” Baby5 interrupts grabbing clothes for both of you. You look at her and relax before heading into the bathroom after her. You both strip as the water runs.
        “Thanks….” You murmur.
        “No problem, are you okay? You seem stressed.” She comments. You glance at her before getting into the water with her.
        “I’m not stressed… Well I am but. That’s not bothering me right now…” You admit. “It’s nice to have Kid here, he’s strong and good at fighting, but whenever Law’s around…”
        “He does a lot to keep your attention.” She giggles. You nod rubbing your cheek. “I noticed the moment he got here… He must’ve came here to help you through this place.” She hums.
        “People can do that?” You huff.
        “Mhm, people can come right up to the space station and join the shows Doffy has.” She tells you. “That’s probably how Law got here, he was always good at avoiding the scanners.”
         “Why would Law….” You trail off not wanting that question answered. Baby5 frowns briefly before smiling  and moving to wash your hair.
         “It’ll be okay, we’ll get out of here together. I know you’ll find a way.” She hums cheerfully. You relax and smile abit.
         “Thanks… I really want everyone to come back okay….” You breathe.
         After the bath you both go out to find the guys already in different beds asleep. “They must be as exhausted as us… What bed do you want?” You murmur. She yawns and shrugs going over and rolling onto Kid’s bed falling fast asleep. You shift and look to Law before going and sitting at the desk to browse through the box.
        ‘Last wills and testaments’ One folder was labeled filled with many blank pages. You pull one out and start to write down your experiences since you got there, to maybe clear your head. You fish out the coin you carried, turning it between your fingers.
        “What’s that?” Law breathes quietly, pressing against your back. You tense slightly as he wraps his arms around you.
        “Um…” Your mind was blank from his closeness. His fingers touch the coin thoughtfully.
        “You’ve been collecting them?” He asks.
        “Yes… This is for you…” You admit, putting it in his palm. He looks at it, leaning his head on yours.
        “The same year that we went to the zoo with everyone, the last generation of anniversary coins…” He says.
        “I have a collection back on Earth… If I had known I was going to Mars I would’ve…” You trail off blushing more.
         “You really thought about me?” He asks softly peering at your face.
         “Of course I did… I thought about the past so much… I miss it…. How everything was before…” You look down at the paper. He reads it over.
         “This really is insanity…. And we’ll face more tomorrow, so please come to bed.” He breathes. You blush and smile, touching his hand.
         “Okay.” You murmur getting up. He guides you to the bed and pauses briefly, removing a necklace he wore before putting it on you. You pause, looking down at the old coin. “This is…”
         “It never left my person since that day. It really is lucky.” He kisses the coin. “And right now I want you to wear it, to protect you until we get out of here. “
         “But… Law…” You murmur, wanting him to stay safe. He cups your cheek.
         “You’ve gotten hurt enough from this place… So please wear it.” He requests gently. You blush and nod, earning a smile before you both crawl into bed. You yawn tiredly, pausing when he puts an arm around you, nuzzling your shoulder and letting out a breath. You blink a few times before smiling and cuddling him back.

        You wake up steadily, wanting to stay in his warmth but knowing you can’t. You ease your eyes open to find him still asleep. He was so cute, the affection you felt for him squeezes your chest and you pull away, getting out of bed and turning away to find Kid going through the closet. You go over, touching his shoulder and making him jump slightly. He looks at you and offers a smile, kissing your temple good morning before holding up a backpack.
         “What is this?” You whisper to not wake the other two.
         “Don’t tell me you forgot what a backpack looks like.” He teases. You give him a look. “Kidding… It always bugged me that the contestants never looked through the room. This has climbing gear, and ammo for the guns we just got from the boss fight, and extra clothes.” He smiles.
         “Youre the best Kid.” You smile.
         “Now you realize?” He winks at you. You blush and push him.
         “Lets get ready to go, times almost up.” You breathe getting ready.
         “Shall I wake them up?” He nods at the other two.
         “Let them sleep…” You smile looking at Law.
          “Okay.” He shrugs peering at you. “So… Do you ever think about that day?” He murmurs quietly. You blush and huff, pushing him playfully.
          “I might.” You breathe. In fact it was a day you would recall whenever you thought about the red head.

           “Come on, speed up.” He says peering back at you.
           “Whats this about Kid?” You frown.
           “To show you that I can be reliable too.” He stops, nodding across the street. You follow his gaze to see Law walking by looking relieved. You relax and smile.
           “You…. Really got him out.” You breathe.
            “I told you I would… You should go say hi after you pay me.” He smiles.
            “What do you want?” You look at him.
            “A kiss.” He smiles, leaning in.
            “Kid-“
       “I know, but I still want one.” He takes your hand, “Just one.”
        You smile and lean over, kissing him. He smiles trying to deepen it but you pull back blushing. “H-Hey…” You grumble. He chuckles and tips your chin.
       “That was nice, I’ll do more favors for you if that’s the payment.”
        “Youre so stubborn.”
        “Yep, I’ll always try to get you to look at me.”

         “You haven’t changed a bit…” You sigh as a chime sounds.
         “Times up guys, wake up.” Kid says as the other two stir.
         “Hey Kid, grab some food so they can eat during the quiet moments.” You tell him.
          “You got it darling.” He teases. You shake your head and go to the door.
          “How close do you think we are to the end?” You ask. They pause, exchanging looks.
          “Closer than we were yesterday. Hows that?” Kid touches your back.
          “Heh… It helps.” You smile at him. He smiles back.
          “Alright lets get going.” You open the door only to get blasted by cold gust. “Oh no…. Not an ice floor….” You sigh.
         “That’s right ___! Welcome to the Tundra level! But mind the monsters! They can be as cold as liquid nitrogen!” Your host chimes.
          “In that case how about I catch one for you so it can bite you between the legs you soulless-“ Baby5 covers your mouth while Kid laughs.
            “Youre so cute when youre fired up.” Kid comments.
            “Lets not anger him today.” Law breathes, touching your side.
            “Fufufu, I hope your fire keeps you warm!”
            With that you head onto the large level. Gusts of wind and snow cloud your vision. “This’ll be bad…. There’s no telling how many monsters are up here….” You look around.
          “Here, bundle up, don’t wanna freeze here.” Kid tosses a blanket on everyone. “This also explains why there are mini flame throwers in the backpack.” He adds bundling you up tightly.
          “Kid! I cant move! Or get to the backpack!” You object.
          “Don’t worry about that, I’ll protect you so stay warm,” He assures.
          “Move. Away.” Law growls pulling you into him and surprising you both.
          “Oho… Look whos stepping up….” Kid growls. “Bout time.” He leads the way into the snow.
         “Are you okay Law?” You look at him.
         “Yeah, stay close.” He offers a smile, taking your hand.
         “Of course.” You smile before you both join Baby5 and Kid.
         “Looks like an open range level, there may be a few linked rooms but theyre just as big, there’s no telling if one is the boss room.” Baby5 says.
          “I hate this floor…” You grumble nuzzling your blanket.
          “Then lets hurry through it so-“ You cover Law’s mouth.
          “Theres something coming…” You ready a gun, searching the white. Something collides into Baby5 and you instinctively fire, making the odd blue creature roll away.
           “Ice Ticks!” She gasps as you help her up.
           “They freeze their prey with one bite and hunt in pairs.” Law informs fully alert now. You listen carefully and look back, firing as one leaps at you.
            “Lets move, sounds like there’s more coming.” You tell them, nudging Baby5 and Law ahead. The group swiftly crosses through the stormy room.
           “There!” Baby5 gasps, pulling you along. The guys follow swiftly but two ice ticks jump on Kid, knocking him over. You look back as the three of you get into the hall.
          “Shit!” You toss off the blanket and run out. “Get the hell off of Kid!” You shout, kicking them off and firing your gun at the ones you see through the snow. “Keep on! Ill exterminate all of ya bastards!” You roar. Kid picks you up at that and carries you into the hall so Baby5 can close the doors.
           “I love it when you get like that.” Kid chuckles. You just huff and rub your nose looking down.
           “Your ears are really good to hear them over the wind… Did you learn that on earth?” Law asks, making you pause.
           “…. Did you know there are still wolves on Earth? They adapted to harsh cold of night… Became monsters… My first night out I almost died. They kept me away from base as they hunted for me… I had to listen closely or I’d die… I guess the cold brought back the instinct… I had been so scared that night I never went back out at night.” You look down the hall at the next blizzard room. “Even if it scares the hell out of me still. I can get us out of here because of that night.”  
            “I didn’t know you went through that…” Law murmurs. You offer him a smile.
            “Why the hell would I want guys to worry? I chose that hell because I was too scared to try and live out in space. It was bad enough that I was usually alone anyway.” You start down the hall. “Come on. Lets get out of here.”
           Kid and Law share a look before following after you. Baby5 grabs your blanket swiftly chasing after you and putting it around you. You give her a smile and an echoing howl sounds. “What the hell was that? A wolf?” Kid huffs.
           “No… Sounded much more terrifying.” You ready your gun.
