Escape The Planet pt5~ Im Sorry

          You and Drake share a look before dashing along the pool to the crates on either side, not paying attention to the ripples as the dance through the water. You reach the crate, removing the top and looking through the weapons swiftly, freezing when you hear water drops hitting the floor behind you. 

        "___!" Law calls out just as you dive to the side, the aquatic beast chomping down the crate behind you. 

        "Get away from her!" Drake shouts shooting at it and drawing it's attention. The Ophiuchus' tail slings from the water and smacks  him into a wall as it lunges at you. Diving away again, you twist and shoot it in the eye making it cry out a thrash, causing Baby5 to fall into the water and drawing it's attention suddenly. Your eyes widen and you swiftly pelt it with shower of shots. 

        "Don't look away from me!" You throw your gun at it but it bounces off, hitting the water and catching the Ophiuchus' attention. You pause. "It's attracted to the splashing!" You call to the others as Baby5 pulls herself out of the water drawing the beast's attention again. Drake shoots at the water surrounding it and confusing it while you hurry to search the other crate. 

        You pause, finding instructions in it. You read them over and pale. "What...?"

        "___, what's that?" Law asks reaching your side. 

        "We can't kill it, we have to open up something under it." You nod to the switches. "But..." You look into the pool, spotting the switch half way down the smooth wall of the pool. "That's the last switch we have to turn... Which means.."

        "Someone gets sacrificed." He finishes for you. 

        "Move!" Drake crashes into both of you as the Ophiuchus crashes into the spot where you had been standing. You get up swiftly, dashing for the first switch and trying to turn it. 

        "Tough..." You growl, yanking it into place. "Law, get that one over there!" You call jumping out of the way as Ophiuchus strikes at you. He nods, running for the indicated switch as Drake picks up the instructions, reading them over before looking at you. You run for the other switch.  Law hits his switch, dodging the Ophiuchus' tail. You reach yours and grab it but Drake pushes you out of the way and the beast bites down on his shoulder, making him cry out. 

      "Drake!" You gasp, grabbing his gun and firing through its teeth at the back of it's throat making it cry out and release him, greenish liquid dripping from its teeth. It cries out, shaking it's head. You swiftly pull the switch and turn to Drake as Law draws the beasts attention to him. Drake coughs, shifting slightly. "Talk to me," You whisper, cupping his cheek. He meets your worried gaze. 

       "Tell her to get the next switch." He rasps with a slight pant. You blink and nod.

       "Baby5! Hit that switch!" You call and Drake pulls away. 

       "I'll get the last one." He breathes. Your heart sinks. 

       "Drake no... We can figure something out... I can go down." You say swiftly, shaking slightly. 

        "There's no anti venom ____. Let me go." He puts a hand on your shoulder. 

        "Law's a doctor. He can save you." You insist. He searches your eyes briefly.

        "You have beautiful eyes." He smiles and kisses you before diving into the water.

        "Drake!" You shout, moving to dive after him but Law pulls you back swiftly. The Ophiuchus dives after him. "No you don't." You growl hitting the water swiftly and stirring the water and making the Ophiuchus turn back to you. "Split up distract it!" You call to Baby5, pushing Law out of the way as you dive to the side, shooting the Ophiuchus' other eye as it leaps out at you. 

     It cries out shaking it's head again as you peek down at Drake and he reaches the switch, pulling it into place, red easing from his wounds. The bottom of the pool suddenly opens up, pulling the Ophiuchus down into pitch black. Drake manages to keep a hold onto the switch. "Drake! Hold on!" You call but his grip was already slipping as he looks up at you in a daze. You look around for something to use as a rope but find nothing. You look back down at him as he gives you a smile that makes your stomach drop. "Drake don't!" 

      He let's go, falling into the darkness. You hit your knees looking into the darkness hopelessly. "___..." Law reaches to touch your shoulder as tears come to your eyes. 

       "Dammit... DAMMIT!" You hit your forehead on the floor, nails trying to dig into the metal floor. Law frowns, glancing over at Baby5 who was crying quietly. 

       "Come on... Let's get out of here." Law helps you up. You bite your lip and nod, leading through the door. Baby5 goes straight to the bed, collapsing and curling up, still sniffling. You watch her for a few moments. "Are you okay?" Law murmurs to you. 

       "I hate this place... I'm taking a shower..." You breathe, going through a box that had your name on it, picking out your clothes. Law frowns at your back. 

       "___... Talk to me..." He touches your hand. You pause and look at him. 

       "I should've been paying more attention... I could've... There had to be another way... We should've tried another way..." You set your clothes down, rubbing your cheek. "He didn't have to..."

       "I saw him read the instructions. He looked at you ___. He already made up his mind to do it." He tells you. That made you feel even more wretched. 

       "So this was my..." You cover your eyes shaking again. "My fault..." You whisper. Law pulls you into a hug, holding you tightly. 

       "You weren't the one that made it this way. It's not your fault ___." He assures. You relax and pull back. 

       "I'm going to shower..." You murmur before going into the bathroom. You start the water after closing the door and strip, pausing as something falls at your feet. Pausing you look down at the knife and lean down, picking it up and swallowing. When did you get Drake's knife? Did he give it to you when he kissed you? You step back under the water, sliding down the wall and letting yourself calm down. "I'm sorry Drake..."

       You step back out after your shower, finding Law sitting on the couch. He blinks at you as you come over and sit beside him. He watches you for a few moments. "Do you... Do you remember the zoo?" He asks. You blink at that before turning your gaze to him.

       "Yeah... Those days are my favorite." You admit with a smile.

       "Mine too... You know, the animals are all doing a lot better on Mars... Rickshaw is the father of five cubs now." He smiles. You light up a bit.

       "Really? That's great, I'll have to go and see them... Do you think he'll remember me?" You inquire.

        "Of course, he adores you." He chuckles. "Anyway, you should get some sleep, you look exhausted." You nod and get up with a yawn before going to the bed and crawling in. Baby5 swiftly cuddles up to you, eyelids a bit red from crying. You gently brush your fingers through her hair to ease her before steadily drifting off.

       'Good morning my little-'

       "Shut your mouth." You glare at the camera sharply. There's a pause.

       'Now now, you can't be mad at me for-' You shoot the camera down in response. 

       "I told you to shut up." You say bluntly as you lead the way through the fiery corridors. 

       "___... What if someone is waiting for us on this floor?" Baby5 murmurs.

       "Then we'll find them. I really don't want to hear that bastard today." You tell her calmly. Law and her share a look. 

       "Sounds like a plan." Law smirks. 

       Grinding metal against metal makes you all stop and look around. The scythe wielding being comes around the corner and stops to look at the team. "Wow... What is that? He looks awesome." You whisper, receiving a look from the other two. 

       "It's called a Scytho, and they're extremely violent." Law tells you as the Scytho charges. Law and Baby5 back up and ready their guns while I watch it curiously, ducking down as it swings up it's scythe for your neck. You move behind it gripping the base of it's scythe like horns. 

       "I hope you're hatched..." You comment turning it's head. Baby5 and Law watch in horror as a demonic like voice seems to scold you angrily. "You can talk?" You raise an eyebrow, dodging the scythe blade as it tries to stab you in the head. 

       "___! Stop messing with it!" Law tells you.

       "Just hurry pass I'll keep distracting him!" You assure. He shakes his head before running past with Baby5, you make sure they're safely away before pushing the Scytho forward and dashing after them. You glance back as the Scytho lunges at your back. You dodge the scythe again and giggle as a string of foreign words leaves it. "Potty mouth." You snicker running faster as it pauses. 

        "Hurry!" Baby5 calls as Law and her stop at a door. You nod and dive to their side as they close the door. You chuckle and relax until the scythe blade pierces through the door making all of you freeze. 

       "That's a first..." You swiftly moves away before the blade slices down through the metal. 

       "Okay. You're no longer allowed to mess with the monsters." Law says swiftly pulling you away from the door and down the hall. 

       "We should keep running!" Baby5 gasps as you hear another slicing sound. The team swiftly rush down the hall. 

       "Man I really pissed him off." You chuckle in amusement. 

       "Why do you seem so happy about it?" Law frowns at you. 

       "I don't know, but that is seriously a cool alien! Too bad it wants to kill us!" You glance back as the makeshift door is kicked down. Your team swiftly turns the corner out of sight. "He got through the door." You pale running ahead. They speed up with you and you all skid into the next turn. You spot a room on the side and a two headed chimera like thing down the hall. 

        Law glances back hearing grinding metal again. "In the room!" He says swiftly and you all dive in, Law swiftly closing the door as the chimera roars. You hit the button, releasing the person in the chair. "Think it'll pass by?" Law asks. You didn't respond, blinking at the person that stood up from the chair.

        "Hey ___, been a while." The red head smirks at you, making Law look back and scowl. 

          "Kid... You got huge," You marvel. He grins at that.

          "Nah, I'm sure you just shrank, being that close to the sun all the time can't be good for you." He rumbles, patting your head. 

          "Your head did get bigger." Law comments. Kid blinks and looks at him before chuckling. 

          "What's this? Did the poor little doctor get tossed into hell?" He sneers.

          "Kid..." You frown. 

          "I'm just saying, he's no match for this place like you and I, beautiful." He winks at you and you just fold your arms in response. "You haven't changed... Anyway, let's get going shall we?" He says opening the door. You peer out with the others, finding the chimera dead by decapitation. 

        "Looks like your new friend helped us out on accident." Baby5 murmurs as you ease out into the hall. 

        "So cool..." You whisper leading the way. 

        "So... What happened to Drake? I thought he would still be here." Kid says. You deflate at that, hand grazing Drake's knife. 

        "He... Went down with the last boss." You answer solemnly. 

        "Damn, that sucks..." He mutters. "He was my favorite until you came." 

        "Well, now you can be your own favorite." You offer a small smile. 

        "No, you're still my favorite." He shrugs with a hum. 

        "You haven't changed either." You murmur with a smirk. 

        "I have, it's just nostalgic seeing you." He ruffles your hair. You chuckle as the team reaches a large corridor, a flaming forest sat on either side of the path. 

       "Well.... This feels familiar." You and Law share a look. 

       "Last days on Earth for everyone except you." He agrees as you all briskly move down the path. 

       "I don't like this floor." You tell them looking back and pausing. "Run." You add, shooting at the large feline. They dash ahead with you close behind. More of the creatures leap out of the forest, one colliding into Baby5. You run over and push the feline off of her and help her up. You swiftly push her toward Kid and Law, facing the cats as you follow  the team. 

           "Easy, stay back." You breathe watching all of them carefully. Their ember like eyes watch you calmly. And for a moment you are reminded of a certain siberian tiger. You smile a bit. "There we go..." You suddenly dash to the others and they close the door behind you. You here them claw at the door and smile. "Is it bad that I am liking this level?" 

           "I think you're having too much fun with it." Baby5 admits.

           "Yeah." Law nods. 

           "I like it too, the creatures here look bad ass." Kid chuckles.
